THAIPA : THAI Pilot Association has been established since 1985

THAIPA is an active member association of IFALPA (The International Federation of the AirLine Pilot Association) which is the Federation who represent the “Global voice of PILOT” to the ICAO. IFALPA has more than 100.000 pilot’s member worldwide.

THAIPA was initially established by THAI Airways International’s Pilot which is the Thailand flag carrier airline. Nowadays, THAIPA has more than 1000 members from many airlines in Thailand. The present THAIPA president is Captain Sanong Mingcharoen who has been elected by the members since 2012 to become the 13th president of THAIPA.

The Board of Airline Representatives Business Association (BAR) is the only association formally registered in Thailand to serve the interests of both Thai and foreign airlines operating to Thailand.  It provides a forum for its members, both airlines and other aviation related businesses, to deliberate issues of importance to them and represents their collective views in discussions and negotiations with Government, airport operators, regulators, and other aviation, transport, tourism and travel associations on aviation related matters in Thailand.  Its objectives areto encourage optimum conditions for members to conduct their civil aviation business and promote the growth and development of a sustainable, robust and reliable aviation, travel and tourism industry in Thailand, for the benefit of all stakeholders.BARactivities are conducted in compliance with all Competition Legislation, and it does not take action to develop fares or charges, nor will it discuss or take action on remuneration levels of any intermediaries engaged in the sales of passenger or cargo air transportation, and has no authority to discuss or reach agreement on the allocation of markets, the division or sharing of traffic or revenues or the number of flights or capacity to be offered in any market.
